We are constantly striving to make Pandia a better site. Here are the latest changes to the site's structure and services. New news messages or issues of the Pandia Post newsletter are not included. For more regular changes, see also our list over recently added or edited pages.

- The Newsfinder and Pandia Powersearch have been updated with a large number of new sites and resources.

- Pandia launches its Sponsorship Programme. Axandra becomes the first Pandia sposor.
- Pandia adds Web Search Trends, a webpage that tells you how to find information about how people search and navigate the Web.

- The Top 5 series is launched. These are articles presenting the top five sites or services within a specific area of the search field.

- The Pandia search form pull down menu has been changed, some old search engines removed and new ones added.
- Pandia adds Pandia Web Search as the default choice of the pull dowm menu, Pandia's version of the Google search engine. (See A Pandia Search Tool Roundup for more information).

- The new Pandia Search Engine Topic search tool lets you search some of the best search engine oriented sites on the Web in one go.
- Pandia adds the new MSN search engine (beta) to the search form pull down menus.

- Pandia adjusts the home page and Search Engine World pages, adding an additional column, making the pages load faster and easier to navigate.
- Pandia moves to a new and faster web server.
- Our partner CurryGuide upgrades its servers, making the Pandia metasearch engine much faster and user friendly.

- The old Pandia Newsfinder metasearch engine for news has now been redesigned and integrated into the regular Pandia Powersearch metasearch engine. If one uses the search form available at the Pandia Newsfinder home page, the search engine will serve the latest news headlines only.
June 2004
- The bimonthly Pandia Post and the weekly Pandia Search World newsletters are now distributed in the HTML format, giving room for a more reader friendly lay-out, illustrations and clickable links. Subscribers who cannot read HTML emails, get a shorter plain text message instead. Both newsletters continue to be available at the Web site.
- Pandia has made an agreement with the Swedish weblog Internetbrus, a service for searchers and educators that has been online since early 2001. It is owned and edited by the librarians Lars Våge and Lars Iselid, and contains a vast amount of information on search resources and techniques.We have now got their permission to publish selected articles from Internetbrus at Pandia, thus making some of their writing accessible to English speaking readers.

- Pandia has added a new feature to its search engine resource center: a beginners' guide to search engine marketing. This is the place to get started if you want to know more about how to achieve higher rankings in the search engines.

- We have redesigned the Pandia Powersearch all-in-one gateway to search engines and search resources. Among other things the search form has been moved to the top of the page.

- The Newsfinder news metasearch engine has been upgraded and improved.
- The Pandia Search World page on search engine news has been expanded into a weblog on current affairs in the world of search engines and directories. In addition to having links to relevant Pandia articles, new sources, headlines and more, the center column now includes original news snippets on search engine development.
- Intellectua.com publishes How to Search the Web, an ebook by the editors of Pandia.

- Pandia adds its own Weather Service for American and Canadian visitors. It is powered by the US National Weather Service and Environment Canada. [Now defunct].
- Visitors may now subscribe to a new mailing list, and get informed every time Pandia adds another original search engine news story to Pandia Search World

- The syntax Q-cards have been updated.
- We have added a Q-card for Google.
- We have divided the metasearch engine in two variants. The "Fast" version searches only a few of the most essential search engines. The "Extensive" version searches a lot, but is slower.
- We have redesigned the home page, making use of the screen "real estate" in a more efficient way.
