EDITORIAL The Pandia Powersearch Metasearch EngineAs a subscriber to the Pandia Post, you are probably familiar with the all-in-one search tool page called Pandia Powersearch. If you are not, there is no time like the present to check it out! We have added a brand new tool, the Pandia Powersearch metasearch engine. When you go to Pandia Powersearch you will see the new metasearch engine in a box near the top of the page. This is a tool for advanced searching with several pull down menus and tons of choices so you can refine your search in any number of ways. You may use natural language questions in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish for general Web searching. Use the pull down menu to select MP3, news, file, jobs, auctions and book search. The Pandia Powersearch metasearch engine also lets you customize the search results. You can choose to see full descriptions of the sites, minimum description or titles only. You may also ask the metasearch engine to filter out any duplicates. You get to choose the number of results per page and there is even an optional family filter. Of course you may still choose to use the regular Pandia Metasearch option, which is available below the Powersearch metasearch engine box. If you are comfortable with Boolean searching or search engine math, this is a powerful tool as well. The new Powersearch metasearch engine offers several additional features however. Give it a try!
